Presumptive C-15 translocation and familial large Y identified by autoradiography.

چکیده
Translocations between Cand D-group chromosomes are relatively uncommon. Only 4 cases of such a translocation have been reported up to now. In 2 of these, autoradiographic studies (Pitt et al., 1967; Bloom and Gerald, 1967) identified the missing D-group chromosome as a No. 14 and a No. 13, respectively. The present paper presents a case of C/15 translocation in a child with psychomotor retardation and few other clinical stigmata.

Molecular Dissection Using Array Comparative Genomic Hybridization and Clinical Evaluation of An Infertile Male Carrier of An Unbalanced Y;21 Translocation: A Case Report and Review of The Literature
Chromosomal defects are relatively frequent in infertile men however, translocations between the Y chromosome and autosomes are rare and less than 40 cases of Y-autosome translocation have been reported. In particular, only three individuals has been described with a Y;21 translocation, up to now. We report on an additional case of an infertile man in whom a Y;21 translocation was associated wi...
متن کاملP-239: NGS Mapping Breakpoints of a Familial Chromosome Insertion (18:7) (q22.1; q36.2 q21.11) to DPP6 and CACNA2D1 Genes in An Azoospermic Man
Background: Aberrant chromosomes can cause azoospermia but little is known about its molecular mechanism. Our aim is to explore any possible genetic defective to explain a given male infertility. Materials and Methods: An azoopsermic male was identified in a 23 years old male. G-banding and FISH confirmed the karyotype as chromosome insertion (18:7) (q22.1; q36.2q21.11). NGS was performed to an...
متن کاملA family case of fertile human 45,X,psu dic(15;Y) males.
We report on a familial case including four male probands from three generations with a 45,X,psu dic(15;Y)(p11.2;q12) karyotype. 45,X is usually associated with a female phenotype and only rarely with maleness, due to translocation of small Y chromosomal fragments to autosomes. These male patients are commonly infertile because of missing azoospermia factor regions from the Y long arm. In our f...
متن کاملA family with D-D translocation.
Balanced D/D translocation carriers appear to be normal in most instances (Court-Brown et al., 1966; Giannelli and Howlett, 1966). In some cases, however, a variety ofcongenital malformations has been reported, such as Klinefelter's syndrome (Lejeune, Turpin, and Decourt, 1960), little secondary sex development (Walker and Harris, 1962), malformation of the spine (de Grouchy et al., 1963), arre...
